La Chapelle

A young real estate agent purchases an apartment in a tower in La Chapelle. The view of Sacré-Cœur is magnificent, but the layout is completely unsuited to her needs. She wants a single, generous bathroom and a larger living room for hosting aperitifs with friends. “I only go into the bedroom to sleep and to store my (many) clothes,” she says. The brief is clear: in the proposed layout, the dressing room occupies nearly half of the bedroom, and the bed—within a now narrower room—is oriented toward the bay window. The view is meant to be enjoyed from every part of the apartment.
